Ulyanovsk: a man received a fine of 1000 rubles for a Nazi tattoo on his arm
According to the resource ulgrad.ru, in June 2017, on the street. Melekesskaya, 4, Ulyanovsk, a man was detained who openly demonstrated on the visible part of his right hand a tattoo with a cross, which has edges bent at an angle of 90 degrees, inclined clockwise. By his actions, the man openly propagandized and demonstrated Nazi symbols.
It is worth noting that during the trial, the man explained that he had applied the drawing with a swastika on his hand at a young age, not realizing that the drawing could entail such consequences. According to the situation, he added that he had no intention of showing the tattoo, he always tries to cover it up, however, that day it was hot outside and he was in a short-sleeved T-shirt. He admitted his guilt and repents of his deed.
The Zavolzhsky court of the city of Ulyanovsk, having considered the case materials, found the man guilty of an administrative offense. Taking into account the identity, the presence of a disease and remorse, the court chose a punishment not related to administrative arrest and imposed a fine of 1,000 rubles.
What can be the punishment for a tattoo with Nazi symbols?
Modern legislation provides for punishment for the propaganda and display of symbols prohibited by law, including Nazi.
The following types of punishments are provided for the offense:
