Adam Curlicale started tattooing his entire body after he survived cancer.

Freak got his first tattoo when he was 20 years old. It was a small two-word, three-letter message on his hand: “I am”.

Curlicale, now 32, has undergone a major transformation. In the 12 years since his first tattoo, he has tattooed almost his entire body (at least 90 percent), including his face and eyeballs, with black ink. He also pierced himself several times..

But that was not enough to satisfy him. Freak, who covered 90% of his body with tattoos, felt that his nipples, penis and testicles did not match his aesthetic look, so on July 14, Curlicale removed them..

A resident of Kaliningrad, Russia, Kerlicale went to Jardines Hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico to perform surgery.

“I just had a cancellation surgery, there was a lot of bleeding, but luckily there is no need for a blood transfusion,” he wrote after the operation..

At 22, Adam Curlikale was diagnosed with colon cancer. He was lucky to survive, but months of radiation therapy and chemotherapy seriously weakened his immune system. As a result, he developed several skin conditions, including albinism, causing some of the skin pigment to disappear..

That’s when he started tattooing his entire body. He saw the tattoos as a refuge from the deep depression he felt.

“I didn’t accept myself and others didn’t accept me,” said Curlicale. He had trouble eating and even tried to commit suicide..

“Tattoos allowed me to rediscover myself, I began to look beautiful for myself,” – said Adam.

He said he always knew he was different from the rest of society.

Curlicale is now called “null,” a term referring to a form of extreme body modification that involves the removal of the genitals.

“People like me are not well represented in the media,” Curlicale said in March 2018. “People are afraid to take risks and promote body modification.”.

While his work as a tattoo artist, beautician and alternative model seems like a natural endeavor, some of his other activities may be less expected. Curlicale also practices as a family psychologist, hairdresser, and singer..

And despite the bold decisions he made, Curlicale is well aware of how he is perceived. “I’m not being taken seriously because how can you be serious about someone who looks like this?”.

He never wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, or priest. However, “sometimes I think my gaze is my enemy,” he said. “People very often deny me the right to live, let alone offer me a real job.”.
