Interesting fact about the Olympic rings tattoo
On the eve of the Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Craig (2012 British Paralympic Swimming Champion) was disqualified due to the tattoo of the Olympic rings located at about the same place as Anna Senj. Unlike Joseph, Anna did not risk anything, since thanks to the sports form of the handball players, the place of tattooing is safely hidden. Her friends from the national team, who are planning to get similar tattoos in the near future, could also have avoided such a risk..
As the organizers of the Games considered, the tattoo of this symbol is a violation of the rules prohibiting any advertising, including on the body. In light of this incident, the Paralympic and Olympic Committees decided to make a number of amendments to the regulations – from now on, anyone can freely display a tattoo with the symbols of the Olympic Games.
