The girl managed to lose more than 120 kilograms, for this she had to resort to both surgical intervention and long and hard workouts aimed at losing weight.
There are many interesting and noteworthy tattoos on Emmy’s body, and we cannot but ask her how losing weight has affected the appearance of the tattoo designs. In addition, in the era of total problems with being overweight and at the same time striving for attractiveness, her story will perfectly motivate readers. .
How the weight loss story began and what preceded it?
In fact, I always considered myself healthy, I had normal blood pressure and heart rate, the doctors did not find any health problems, but at the same time, I always thought about children and wanted them.
With my weight and complexion, having a child is an unsafe event for both the child and me – it played an important role.
In addition, I have always been subjected, if not bullying from others, then ridicule – for sure. Leaving the house, I not only felt the views of others, their condemnation in my thoughts, but I laugh out loud in my address and ridicule among myself, behind my back, of course – because of my weight and build.

How did weight loss begin??
I cannot say that my diet has always been wrong, or critically different from what most people eat. I just ate a lot, I always had a problem with weight, at the age of 20 I was obese, and in the period after the wedding, I relaxed and stopped controlling myself.
During this period of time, I stopped training and trying to limit myself in food, which led the situation to the fact that I firmly decided to do something for myself. And immediately started to do it.
After consulting with experts, I learned that the volume of my stomach, due to constant overeating, is much larger than that of most people, and this makes me want to constantly eat and fill it. And with such a volume, even if I completely fill it with something low in calories, it will still be much more than my body needs. It turned out to be a kind of vicious circle.
The solution was surgery to remove part of the stomach, about 80% – Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, also called VSG. Immediately after that, I completely changed my diet and began to eat exclusively on the advice of a nutritionist, and not just fill the space in the stomach until the hunger was satisfied..
Already 3 weeks after the operation, I was allowed to start walking (walking) down the street, after 8 weeks the doctors allowed me to go to the gym – I gladly did it.
My trainings began gradually and within a year I reached 4-5 days a week in the gym. 15-20 minutes of cardio on a treadmill, an hour of strength weights.
Then I connected jogging – separately from the gym and incrementally, I made progress, I started to run more – it fascinated me, I liked the result, new records and victories.
Then I added badminton classes.
In addition, I learned how to cook – to do it not only right from the point of view of a healthy diet, but also delicious. I was constantly finding new dishes from different cuisines that I would like to taste and would be at the same time low in carbohydrates – suited my nutritionist.
Such nutrition allowed me to more easily cope with psychological moments and not suffer from old habits associated with food and its amount..

What was the biggest problem in your weight loss?
In fact, time was a problem for me! It was very difficult for me to work from 9 to 5, attend college classes in the evening and manage to combine all the required activities with cooking and training, which required a lot of time, which was enough for sleep, and maybe not enough sometimes.
How weight loss and gym workout affected your tattoos?
With regard to my tattoos, everything is super! I, being an optimist, counted on something worse.
And there are a number of reasons for keeping my tattoos in good shape after losing more than 120 kg..
I had a good tattoo artist – all my tattoos are of high quality, I am convinced of this.
Most of my tattoo designs are related to animals, which makes some curvature of the pattern less noticeable due to weight loss and changes in body size.
I didn’t have a tattoo on the inside of my arm or thigh.
I did a lot with iron, which allowed me, with a general decrease in weight, not to lose much in the volume of my arms, but to make them just different in quality – I think this is the most important thing.
But – that’s not all, not everything is so straightforward.
Naturally, with such weight loss, I had a problem with sagging (excess) skin. It was solved by the only existing way – removing unnecessary skin.
I really asked the surgeon to save my tattoos during the operation – he initially said that it would not work. I thought it was better – to lose the tail from the chanterelle (Ketsune) or cut off part of the tail from the carp? =)
As a result, the surgeon did a great job.!
He managed to cut off a section on the inside of the arm, and sew everything so that 99% of the tattoo pattern was preserved, and the chanterelle in the drawing connected with Karp Koi.

What are your plans for tattoos next?
Already during the time of losing weight, tattoo drawings appeared on my lower leg, I plan to close the scars on my arm with tattoos that remained after skin removal.
And I will make plans for tattoos, starting from my shape, trying to bypass potentially dangerous places, for example, the hips, which can change greatly due to weight loss..
What can you wish for yourself yesterday (five years ago)?
I would like to have more perseverance, to go firmly towards the goal. Ignore failures and focus on successes. Feel free to leave people in the past – who are toxic, never run after anyone. Try to enjoy as much as possible.
